The Lovely Bones Play Review

“Sometimes the dreams that come true are the dreams you never even knew you had.”
― Alice Sebold, The Lovely Bones
Hello my dear readers!
Last Saturday I had the amazing opportunity of going to the theatre Everyman in Liverpool with my lovely friend Emily to watch the play ‘The Lovely Bones’.
– My deepest feelings were found that evening –
My illusion was already very high because after watching the movie a few years ago I knew the play would be incredible, but it honestly exceeded my expectations.
If you have never heard of ‘The Lovely Bones’ let me tell you that is a story about Susie Salmon, a 14 year old girl being murdered and how she struggles being in heaven and seeing how things are happening in Earth after she is gone.
Since the beginning til the very end everything was very deep, the acting, how they recreated the story, the music and the scenario. Creating a unique 3 stage set. The floor where the action happened, the mirror, to help the acting on the floor and the background, and everything together created a magical atmosphere where you could feel in another world watching the story of Susie.
About the acting I need to express myself and say that it was absolutely fantastic, I could see in Charlotte Beaumont (playing Susie Salmon) every single feeling, when she was happy she made me feel happy as well, and same when she was terrified, she honestly get me though all the story and I could feel every single word. All the cast was incredibly good, and all together made an incredible job.
– When a story crosses the acting, you can tell they did an amazing labour. –
It is an experience that I recommend to every single person, because I asure you that your life can change, can make you see the world completely different after you stand up clapping the marvellous cast at the end of the play.
And about the avenue, oh goodness was so special, it was a small place, with no more than probably 150-200 seats, made it all familiar and cozy. I don’t know how is the show in other avenues, but if you are in Liverpool and have the opportunity please don’t miss it, you will go out of the theatre smiling, crying and being happy because you assisted to a great play.
I will share here with you the official trailer of the play, and thank you very very much for reading me, and please, if you are lucky enough to go and enjoy ‘The Lovely Bones’ please let me know in comments, because I will be very happy to read your opinion!!
